2nd Shift Machining & Sheet Metal Manufacturing Planner – Associate or Mid-Level

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking to hire Associate and Mid-Level Machining & Sheet Metal Manufacturing Planners to support second-shift Fabrication operations in Auburn, WA.

This role will require individuals that are capable of adapting to a diverse team with critical deliverables and urgent factory support.

They will need to have the ability to work under general direction and collaborate with others while keeping a “think outside the box” approach.

These team members will be encouraged to collaborate with global partners and internal team members.

Primary Responsibilities: Develops, implements, and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.

Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.

Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.

Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met.

Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.

Manages tools from initial design to end of use disposition.

Investigates and resolves manufacturing-related end-of-use issues.

Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs.

Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.

Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.

Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

§ 120.15 is required.

“US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Familiarity with fabrication commodities and/or manufacturing processes such as machining and assembly.

Experience in a fabrication production environment.

Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Ability to work 2nd shift.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 2 years of related fabrication experience.

Typical Education/Experience: Level 2 Associate: AA degree in related subject area and related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level 3 Mid-Level: AA degree in related subject area and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
