Assembly and Remanufacturing Technician – Day Shift


This is a Contract position in Durham, NC posted October 23, 2021.

We are pioneers in the innovation of minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) that has been used in over 8.5 million operations across 67 countries. We’re growing fast and our manufacturing operation in Durham has a fantastic entry-level program to train Remanufacturing Assembly Technicians to help us build robotics that are making new things possible in healthcare. Remanufacturing Assembly Technician:Our remanufacturing facility in Durham specializes in repairing and repurposing surgical robots. Every situation is a bit different, so your duties will go beyond typical assembly as you learn to troubleshoot new and unfamiliar problems. You will gain a deep understanding of our robots and their components. Working with the design & assembly drawings, machine repair and quality control. This role is critical to Intuitive’s mission to solve hard problems in healthcare; without talented, detail-oriented Assembly Technicians, none of our products would meet the high and exacting standards for medical technology. That’s why we’re hiring motivated, detail-oriented individuals: people who will take care and have a passion to build machines that save lives. Roles & Responsibilities:* Read and understand detailed assembly guides and assemble a variety of products* Operate and set up production equipment/fixtures* Repair/repurpose robotic components and attachments* Become proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety, and productivity* Perform preparation work such as line clearance and changeover* Perform inspection and repair on completed builds* Complete manufacturing documentation accurately* Initiate basic material requests, report issues in quality/efficiency, and material shortagesWorking with Intuitive:This is a full-time, 1-year contract position with daytime hours (7 am to 3:30 pm). You’ll earn a competitive wage of $20.00 an hour, and you’ll also be eligible for a $3000 hiring bonus that will be paid in increments; $1,000 first paycheck, $1,000 after 30 days, and $1000 after 60 days. Intuitive’s training program is second to none, but the best thing about working with us is the opportunity for growth.
