This is a Part-time position in St Catharines, ON posted January 8, 2021.

Job DescriptionAbout: Our Niagara-on-the-Lake food production client is in need of workers.

The position generally starts part-time with 1-2 scheduled shifts per week and on-call as needed, then leads to full-time with 5-6 shifts weekly, dependent on the candidate’s skills and performance.

Must be available for rotating shifts (days, afternoons, and nights) Monday-Friday.

The position pays $15.00/hr to start with shift premiums for afternoon and night shifts.

Own transportation is preferred but may be able to arrange to carpool from St.


Opportunity for full-time, permanent hire is high with this client.What You’ll Be Doing:Working on a fast-paced food production line.Packing finished product into the packaging.Monitoring product for quality, food safety, customer, and client standards.Stacking product onto pallets.Assisting with clean up of the facility.Performing other duties as specified by the supervisor.Minimum Requirements:Must be 16+ years of age.Ability to work in a cool environment.Have good attention to detail.Ability to follow verbal instructions.Ability to work independently or in a team.Reliable, energetic & hardworking with a positive attitude.Personal protective equipment including steel-toed safety footwear, smock, gloves, hair and/or beard net, and face mask, is required at all times.Knowledge of GMP & HACCP Food Safety is anasset, but not required.Notice:This facility is a food manufacturing facility.

Nuts or nut products, perfumes/body sprays or other heavily scented products, cell phones, jewelry, and loose clothing are not permitted in the production area.COVID-19 considerations:To keep workers as safe as possible, there is a mandatory temperature check daily before each shift.
