Liburdi Turbine Services provides mechanical and metallurgical engineering services specifically tailored for the gas turbine industry. This allows us to perform an independent analysis of problems and, where required, to modify or redesign components. Our expertise lies in the fields of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, stress analysis, metallurgy and mechanical design as they apply to aircraft and land based gas turbines. The company offers firm opportunities for career growth in an attractive but yet challenging technical environment. We are currently seeking a Dimensional/Visual Inspector to aid our growth. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting manufacturing by performing dimensional inspections of gas turbine components in accordance with specifications.

The role of Dimension/Visual Inspector reports to the Manufacturing Manager. We have one (1) position available on our day shift (Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm) and one (1) position available on our afternoon shift (Monday to Friday, 3:30pm – 12:00am).

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Perform inspections for dimensional accuracy of highly diversified or complex parts and assemblies.
• Apply knowledge of inspection practices and procedures.
• Making inspection layouts, testing setup, gauging, and isolating and analyzing defective operating conditions.
• Recommend changes to assist in solving operational and technical difficulties.
• Perform final visual inspection and visual pack while ensuring all quality requirements are met.

• Very detail-oriented in writing capabilities

Key Education Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering Technician (NDE) Diploma or similar educational background is an asset
• 1 – 2 years of related work experience is required
• Knowledge of non-destructive evaluation (NDE) processes is an asset
• Familiarity with basic dimensional inspection methods and tools (for example: Vernier calipers, height gauges, dial indicators) is required
• Experience with CMM is an asset
• Experience in the quality control field is an asset
• Familiarity with ISO quality system an asset
