Job Description Director
– Identity and Access Management (IAM)
– Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Thomson Reuters is looking for a highly skilled Information Security Director in Identity and Access Management to lead our SRE team.

The Director will be responsible for the Virtual Directory Services (VDS), Single Sign On (SSO), Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) and Active Directory (AD) platforms, as well as development technologies supporting Cloud Identity and Access Management.

The Director will support, mentor and guide the respective Solution Architects, Engineers and Developers within IAM.

SRE, as it pertains to IAM, is a strategic focus for Thomson Reuters, and a cornerstone of information security.

The successful candidate as the Director
– SRE will provide the leadership to an SRE team that will be responsible for successfully executing the strategy in transforming IAM Operations, including monitoring incident response, building and monitoring IAM solutions in production, ensuring service resiliency, and reducing repetitive manual tasks About the role: In the role of Director you will: Direct the team in implementing SRE solutions (monitoring and alerting, machine learning anomaly detection, self-healing and reliability testing) while striving to reduce toil using automation tools.

Perform code and non-functional (performance, security, maintainability) reviews of all production bound IAM solutions.

Help drive transformation by continuously looking for ways to automate existing processes Maintain technology currency (perform server patching, version updates, certificate renewal, etc.) with a view on automation.

Perform a production support role: proactive monitoring of environments, troubleshooting all systems and applications in scope, including off-hours support Assist in incident management and problem management for IAM platforms in scope Develop an enterprise strategy and roadmap for scalable, robust, and performant IAM platform solutions.

Oversee the architecture and design of identity solutions for the enterprise in a large and distributed environment.

Lead architecture, planning, and hands-on delivery of the enterprise-level IAM program.

Work across internal and external teams to document and share IAM best practices for employees and contractors.

Ensure overall IT strategy and architecture plans and standards are translated into IAM service programs, methods, and technologies and alignment with industry-leading IAM practices.

Advise Senior Management on IAM Architecture, Platform related risks and security posture.

Provide leadership and hands-on guidance to internal IAM Team.

Participate and gather information for periodic compliance exercises for audit and regulatory requirements.

Develop, maintain, monitor, and publish appropriate performance statistics and impact metrics.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems impacting other teams using VDS, SSO, ADFS, AD, and Cloud IAM solutions.

Develop and maintain documentation, with the focus on self-service, for IAM Architecture process and procedures.

Ability to provide clearly complex information security IAM risks and technical requirements, into business digestible language.

About you: You are a fit for the Director of SRE, if you have… A deep fluency with Identity & Directory platforms and authentication technologies such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, SAML, LDAP, LAPS, SCIM, OAuth, SailPoint, Microsoft Active Directory.

A passion for solving problems and delivering high-quality, performant Privileged Identity solutions.

10 years experience in the Information Security field.

Authentication capability for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Ability to think strategically, balancing long and short-term priorities.

Experience working in Azure, GCP and AWS.

Sense for automation.

Required Skills: 5 years of experience in Identity & Access Management.

7 years of experience with IT Security.

5 years of experience in Solutions Delivery.

Mastery of VDS, SSO, ADFS, AD and cloud access technologies.

Technical understanding of CASB and SASE.

Experience design, architecting, integrating and deploying IAM platforms.

An understanding of access control concepts including directory services, SAML, LDAP, PKI.

Hands-on experience in a variety of SRE languages and tools including Ansible, Dynatrace Managed, Moog, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, GitHub, Slack, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Blue Prism, Catchpoint Software engineer experience with production class delivery, strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and sense of ownership / drive (SRE, DevOps, Cloud, Data) Intermediate experience in a variety of environments including Cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases Extensive experience in business analysis, documentation, and user access review.

Skilled in project management best practices, tools, and techniques.

Excellent verbal and written skills and be comfortable presenting ideas and issues to different levels within and outside of the organization, including leadership, customers, auditors, etc.

Demonstrated track-record for building and leading exceptional teams through collaboration, mentoring, skill training and transition of technologies and processes as technologies and compliance requirements evolve.

Skilled in managing and mentoring remote teams.

Experience meeting SOX, SOC, and GDPR audit requirements.

ITSM -skilled in ServiceNow flows, eager to engage with our Operations team, and familiar with ITIL v3.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree required.

Industry recognized certification in security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CISA, etc.) Preferred Skills: Experience developing role-based access control strategy and production implementation.

Agile
– Leankit or Jira tools.

Familiarity with Kanban and other agile methodologies.

Develop and maintain integrations and connectors for PAM solution.

Proficiency with Rest APIs and Native SDKs.

Developing and maintaining process automation scripts for onboarding and reporting.
