Forklift Operator

Position summary:

The forklift operator is responsible for receiving goods as well as preparing orders with handling. The holder is also responsible for positioning the pallets in the warehouse and ensuring the rotation of the goods.

Essential functions:

• Load and unload trailers with the help of a counterbalanced forklift.
• Make the preparation of orders according to the specific requests of each of the customers.
• Sort goods.
• Make an inventory of goods.
• Meet prescribed deadlines for times and dates on customer orders.
• Place pallets in the appropriate places, with the appropriate equipment.
• Use of a WMS system for all operations such as:
  • Receipt of pallets.
  • Shipping orders.
  • Order confirmation.
  • Location transfers (pallet movement).
• Redirect packing slips.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the premises.
• Other related tasks may be required.
• Inspect trailers and products prior to loading and report any non-conformities.
• Comply with client procedures.

Requirements:

• Good team spirit.
• Experience with standing forklift.
• Valid forklift permit.
• 3-5 years of experience in forklift driving.
• Computer knowledge.
• Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Working hours and conditions:

• 40 hours per week (full-time) from 8am to 4pm.
• Permanent position.
• Day shift.
• Work with forklift (certification required).
• Related handling tasks.

Requirements:

• Experience with standing forklift;
• Valid forklift operator license;
• 3-5 years experience in forklift driving;
• Computer knowledge;
• Proficiency in French and English (oral and written);
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
