Group Description

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. General Responsibilities

 

  • Organize and execute, validation, verification and production performance testing;
  • Review and execute applicable customer and governmental requirements for validation, verification and production testing;
  • Perform environmental and mechanical testing on of our products, such as vibration, tensile, thermal, sealing electrical checks;
  • Participate in the construction and destruction of mocked up representation of system components and assemblies;
  • Teardown and destruction of samples, qualifying and quantifying results where possible;
  • Prepare documentation for review by the customer and various groups within our organization;
  • Execute and monitor validation and material test plans;
  • Root cause analysis of customer returned and production defects;
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve test lab failures;
  • Provide regular updates with Program Teams and Validation Engineering as they to pertain to validations and VA/VE studies.
Key Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics or Material Management
  • P. Log or CITT Certification is considered an asset
  • Leadership skills to coordinate the activities and communicate the requirements of the company to both internal support and external vendors, logistic providers
  • Prior work experience 3-5 years in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Prior work experience with a transportation carrier/3PL/4PL would be an asset
  • Valid Driver’s license and ability to travel between plants required
  • Must excel in a fast paced environment
  • Good written and verbal skills

  • Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor/shipping areas/warehouse
  • Flexibility in order to work well under a variable workload
  • Ability to initiate and follow task through to completion
  • Ability to lift max 50 lbs. periodically
