Regarding People Analytics: we are currently focused on Retail Analytics, and we provide imaging products and solutions that are used to measure retail customers traffic, customers queuing time, customers flows in the retail space; Essentially our People Analytics products help to replicate the equivalent of web analytics in the physical world.We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in our Richmond, BC location.

The Manufacturing Engineering team supports the production of our cutting-edge camera and sensor products.The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with other manufacturing engineers with diverse expertise to develop, implement and document manufacturing processes and test operations as well as setting up and maintaining manufacturing tools and equipment.The successful candidate has strong knowledge of electronic assembly, DFM and continuous improvement practices.

They are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and supporting their colleagues to help everyone get things done the right way.Detailed Description:Design, implement and maintain manufacturing processes, test operations and jigs according to best practices, quality objectives and cycle timeIdentify products’ hardware requirements and design proper fixtures and test operations to verify hardware functionality of units in manufacturingWork with NPI Team to review hardware design of the products and provide feedback to engineering design team in terms of optimizing design for manufacturability (DFM) and production yieldTroubleshoot, execute root cause analysis and document design and quality failures in productions and escalate the flaws to the proper partiesInvestigate process failures and individually, or in teams, find root causes and prevent recurrencesDefine and document processes that are efficient, scalable, reliable, and repeatableContribution to strategy and execution of defined objectives for improving cycle time, increasing throughput, quality levels and efficiencyWork in a team-oriented manufacturing environment to build existing products and help transition new cameras to manufacturingSupport the Quality Team to review and investigate failures reported by customers and propose corrective actions in manufacturing processes/fixturesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent5+ years in a Manufacturing Engineering capacityStrong knowledge of PCBA and packaged electronics manufacturing processesStrong knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma theory and practices, either through certification or considerable practical experienceStrong technical leadership / mentoring skillsStrong data analysis and visualization skillsExcellent debugging and problem-solving skillsExcellent teamwork, strategic thinking and process-orientedExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management and prioritization.Preferred Skills/Experience:Experience designing, analyzing and debugging electronic circuitsExperience with CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or equivalentExperience with optical systems and modeling toolsExperience with scripting and automated testing toolsExperience with ISO 9001 requirements and certification processesExperience with NI LabVIEW or other automation tool kitsExperience with MRP / ERP systemsExperience with metrology equipmentExperience with databases, creating and running SQL queriesExperience with task tracking software such as JIRA or equivalentExperience with imaging technology / computer visionFLIR and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
