A leading manufacturing company in the Wellington North County area is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will plan, organize and direct the engineering departments to meet company objectives for design, new product development and improvement of existing product lines while achieving company objectives and targets.

Qualifications Degree in industrial engineering or related field Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing process experience Strong ability to prioritize and establish targets to meet deadlines Strong ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment Strong knowledge and understanding of core engineering skills including APQP, FMEA, PQCT’s, blueprint reading and core quality tools Strong leadership and mentoring skills Sound decision making and problem solving skills Knowledge and understanding of the ISO & TS standards requirements Experience in SAP or similar ERP is an asset Strong knowledge and understanding of the use of Microsoft Office intermediate to advanced abilities with Microsoft Excel and Word Essential Functions Manages policy deployment in the areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction methods, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and other key performance indicators.

Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones Working with the Manufacturing, Operations and Quality Manager; reviews and monitors quality and process improvements and new product development Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development; provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships Insuring compliance at all levels with the set policies and guidelines of the company as outlined in the Employee Handbook and by the board of directors and insuring appropriate corrective action is taken through the chain of command Identifies, communicates and drives implementation of capital investments and improvement projects Manages compliance with provincial and federal regulations Budgetary responsibility and control, to include initiating cost cutting activities/KAIZEN depending on departmental and company needs or directive from the board of directors Determining problems that cannot be corrected with his/her assigned resources and contacting the appropriate personnel throughout the Company group or external to the Company to obtain needed support to correct.
