The Opportunity We are actively seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Team at AGI Nobleford.

In this role, you will drive product and process improvements for our aeration product line.

Fans, heaters and aeration systems are sold under AGI, Grain Guard and Keho brand names.

The Team Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work within a small engineering group to support the requirements of the customer and manufacturing.

Responsibilities Liaison with corporate product management team to implement product designs into the manufacturing environment Provide manufacturing input for new product designs Manage testing and prototyping of aeration products Ensure the integrity and accuracy of models, drawings, and product specifications by reviewing for conformance to divisional and corporate engineering standards Understand required certification files (CSA) and compliance to applicable codes (Canadian Electrical Code, Gas Appliance standards) Manage the Engineering Change process to ensure effective identification and implementation of product and process changes Develop and implement innovative ways to improve quality, reduce cost, or improve functionality and manufacturability of products.

Create and maintain Bills of Material, manufacturing routings and instructions in the ERP system Understand, manage and prioritize engineering projects and assignments required to achieve divisional goals Qualifications Completion of Engineering Technologist Post-Secondary program or Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering Eligible to obtain ASET or APEGA membership 7 to 10 years of related experience is required Ability to drive progress and influence change Adaptable and flexible – able to change priorities and complete tasks based on business need Excellent understanding of parametric CAD systems (plant uses Solidworks) Understanding of ANSI/ASME drafting standards is required Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational ability Must possess strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as excellent decision-making ability Understanding electrical wiring and airflow system dynamics considered an asset Preference given to candidates with exposure to the agricultural industry We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
