We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technologist to join our busy and growing manufacturing company.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Manufacturing Engineering Technologist will perform Engineering and various related administrative functions for the Manufacturing Engineering department and work on related projects as assigned.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Work with a team of key stake holders, to pioneer the implementation of automation throughout various work cells Pilot new product introduction (NPI) within but not limited to production and supply chain Recommend process and technical design changes to improve capacity, throughput, quality, cost, and safety Work with cross functional departments to implement and drive product change requests (PCR) Generate, monitor, and analyze production data to create weekly KPIs Provide engineering support to the Production department to troubleshoot and resolve technical constraints Design and develop jigs and fixtures Investigate and implement design and process revisions to reduce quality costs associated with manufacturing scrap, rework, and field warranty Create and maintain Production work instructions Monitor and implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) All other duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications: Proficient or certified in Solidworks Team player that can easily adapt to change Ability to multitask Electronics experience an asset Experience with ERP systems would be an asset Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, presentation skills are considered an asset Strong attention to detail in design and problem resolution is required Educational/Experience Requirements: College or University degree (BA or Business Degree) in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering program Minimum of 2 years of related experience Some experience in manufacturing engineering, including design of assembly jigs and fixtures and workflow layouts Qualifications Skills Required AutoCAD/Solidworks Expert Expert Computer Skills (Microsoft) Expert Creative/Collaborative/Open-Minded Expert Deliver Results Expert Goal Completion Expert Interpersonal Skills Expert ISO Quality Standards/QMS Expert Knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Processes Expert Meet Deadlines Expert Organizational Skills Expert Presentation Skills Expert Problem Solving Expert Relationship Building Expert Behaviors Required Team Player : Works well as a member of a group Innovative : Consistently introduces new ideas and demonstrates original thinking Functional Expert : Considered a thought leader on a subject Detail Oriented : Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Dedicated : Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity : Motivations Required Goal Completion : Inspired to perform well by the completion of tasks Flexibility : Inspired to perform well when granted the ability to set your own schedule and goals Ability to Make an Impact : Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organization : Education Required Diploma or better in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
