We are pioneers in the innovation of minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) that has been used in millions of successful medical operations across 67 countries. 

We’re growing fast and our manufacturing operation in Sunnyvale has a fantastic entry-level program to train and up-skill Assembly Technicians to build robotics that are changing the world of healthcare. 

In this role you’ll gain valuable experience working with design & assembly drawings, as well as observation and quality control. By troubleshooting mechanical and robotic components, this role will prepare you for more skilled positions in the future. With success there is a $1500 bonus, and great potential to be hired on permanently, and be promoted into other areas of the company.

Role & Responsibilities of an Assembly Technician:

  • Read and understand detailed assembly guides and assemble a variety of products
  • Operate and set up production equipment/fixtures
  • Be proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety and productivity
  • Perform preparation work such as line clearance and changeover
  • Perform inspection and repair on completed builds
  • Complete manufacturing documentation accurately
  • Initiate material requests, report issues in quality/efficiency, and material shortages

Working with Intuitive:

This is a full-time, 1-year contract position with either daytime or swing shift hours. You’ll earn a competitive wage of $20-22 per hour (for dayshift, from 6am-2:45pm), or up to $24.20 an hour for our swing shift (which includes afternoons, from 3:00pm-11:45pm). And there’s a $2000 hiring bonus that will be paid in increments; $500 first paycheck, $500 after 30 days and $1000 after 60 days.

While experience is nice to have in this role, any motivated and hardworking individual can succeed here provided they have some mechanical or technological aptitude. We are looking for people who enjoy working with their hands, are detail-oriented, and are able to follow schematics and mathematical plans. Most importantly, you should enjoy examining, investigating, and perfecting machines until they come out just right.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (college diploma is preferred) 
  • Aptitude with technology, machinery, or assembly
  • Experience in manufacturing or assembly of any kind (furniture, fixtures, etc.) is an asset
  • Proficiency with standard computer applications
  • Strong fundamentals in math and reading, and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Familiarity with systems (Agile/SAP) used to check drawings/bills of materials is an asset
