Key Responsibilities
  • Manage team of direct reports (material handlers) to ensure materials are flowing to and from work cells without down time (packaging, raw material, components, FG)
  • Responsible for accuracy of any scanning: inventory transfers, receipts.
  • Responsible for safe loading and unloading of trucks following work instructions. Ensure wheels are chocked (manual or auto).
  • Responsible to visually inspect solid wood packaging materials (SWPM) for contamination and valid ISPM mark.
  • Receive components, raw materials, empties and packaging materials. Validate accuracy of paperwork – When products are received from the supplier, the quantities must be verified as per the prescribed frequency outlined in the Work Instruction. Record counts on packing slip.
  • All received products must be immediately scanned (no manual entries) into RST inventory system
  • Ensure adherence to Rollstamp Cycle Count Rules;
  • Area organized, labeled – 3S level
  • All locations must be counted – WIP, FG

  • Supervisors / Team Leaders are the champions
  • Print from Tran4M the count sheet prior to counting
  • Parts being counted must not be running.
  • All adjustments required must be done immediately – CCAS
  • Ensure warehouse/plant organization and housekeeping is maintained.  Keep the outside areas clean and unobstructed at all times. Maintain 5S standards.  Follow up on any deficiencies.
  • Ensure that exits, aisle ways and doors are never blocked.
  • Communicate information from one shift to the next.
  • Notify production of all pending part or packaging shortages.
  • Report all employee concerns to the Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities cont’d
  • Check the forklift at the start of the shift, complete the inspection form and notify the Supervisor of any concerns.  Issue Maintenance Work Orders if required.
  • Keeps lift truck maintained, fueled and/or charged and in a safe working condition according to specified instructions. Always operates life truck according to safety procedures.
  • Responsible for proper handling and storage of all materials (i.e. FG, Raw, Packaging).
  • Recommend ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to lift containers / boxes as required (up to 55lbs.)
  • Must be able to work outside in any weather condition.
  • Adheres to desk procedures and work instructions as applicable.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations as outlined in the Rollstamp Employee Handbook and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Adhere to all applicable Business Operating Systems Procedures.
  • Any other reasonable request made by Management.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Experience driving forklift necessary (with required licensing).
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Able to communicate well in person and over the telephone.             
  • Must have basic keyboarding skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience driving Forklift in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership experience
