YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
As a member of the maintenance and production store inventory management team and reporting to the non-stock buyer and coordinator for major technical services and projects, your main mandate will be to support the maintenance and production stores. You will have the opportunity to:
- Place orders for the replenishment of maintenance and production stores.
- Follow up on orders and backorders, and coordinate orders for maintenance work.
- Analyze and approve parts requisitions ensuring the accuracy of data generated such as quantities, dates, etc.
- Analyze the parts list and group parts by supplier and frequency.
- Issue a call for tenders for parts to be ordered and contact suppliers by phone or email.
- Follow up on the return of bids and validate the results.
- Create and issue a Non-Stock or Service order as needed.
- Coordinate the ordering and shipping of subcontracted parts.
- Follow up and manage delivery issues or problems with suppliers.
- Produce a weekly B/O report and request supplier to confirm delivery dates for parts management:
- Analyze inventories (minimum and maximum quantities, surplus, obsolescence, supplier stock) to keep them at an optimal level to avoid any stock shortages or waste.
- Analyze, validate and process non-conforming supplies. Arrange for returns, replacement or credit.
- Ensure that the item designation is recorded correctly and according to BRP standards.
- Ask the department (Costing) to activate the new part in SAP.
- Make any adjustments requested by them.
- Record the maximum and minimum quantities of parts in inventory as well as the types of supply.
- Create, modify or delete the Purchasing Info record in SAP for each item, indicating the chosen supplier and unit cost.
- Financial management:
- Verify that invoiced part prices are consistent with the negotiated price list.
- Negotiate and take the necessary measures with suppliers (bank contract) for purchase, quantity adjustment, return of merchandise and return of excess inventory.
- Produce monthly purchasing summaries.
- Resolve problems related to discrepancies between delivery notes, acknowledgements of receipt and invoices (price discrepancies, surcharges, transportation, etc.).
- Produce shipping documents and/or return of merchandise for credit.
- Relationships with internal customers and suppliers:
- Develop and maintain a good business relationship with suppliers. Be fair and equitable while maintaining a rigorous and honest attitude.
- Meet on a regular basis with our MRO suppliers (approximately 5 suppliers).
- Participate in the selection of suppliers.
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- A college diploma in administration, operations management or another related field.
- 12 months to 3 years experience.
- The ability to communicate in a professional manner in English and French (written and spoken).
- Good organization and communication.
- Enjoyment of teamwork and demonstrated leadership.
- The ability to use Windows software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of software such as SAP and Guide TI would be an asset.
