Cresswell operates in the processing and assembly of steel products including fasteners for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in the construction equipment industry, as well as structural products in the building construction industry. Our team manufactures all of our products to the specifications and tolerances of our OEM customers while continually challenging ourselves to improve.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Cresswell’s cutting department operators may be required to operate cutting equipment to ensure quality cutting of a wide variety of parts, as well as lifting magnets. They also ensure that the parts required for production are properly cleaned and sorted according to the type of part.

• Preparation and validation of products to be transformed;
• Carry out cutting operations on a variety of products;
• Identify, clean and sort the cut parts;
• As well as manipulate several tools such as the grinder, the electric hoist and the overhead crane.

In addition, the company offers three shifts, as follows:

• Day shift: Monday-Thursday from 5:30 am to 3:50 pm
• The evening shift : Monday-Thursday from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am
• The weekend shift: Friday-Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position starts at $24.15/hr.

Qualifications and skills required

• Good organizational skills.
• No experience in product transformation processes is required for this application (asset).
• Experience with cutting equipment (plasma, laser) is an asset.
• Qualifications required for this position are a good work ethic, diligence, versatility and the ability to work in a team environment.
