Responsibilities The Registered Nurse practices within the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) Standards of Nursing Practice for Registered Nurses and the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics.

The RN is responsible and accountable for the nursing care of an assigned group of patients and their families, provides guidance and leadership to peers and other staff, and works in a collaborative relationship with colleagues, unit staff, students and members of related health disciplines.

The Permanent Resource Nurse may work in any department within the hospital and is not limited to one unit.

Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and eligible for registration in the province of Nova Scotia Current BLS certification One (1) year acute care nursing experience Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Evidence of ongoing relevant education Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain good relationships with patients/residents, families and co-workers Willingness to do ambulance transports Good attendance and work record; attendance records may be reviewed Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred PLEASE NOTE: Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must clearly state such equivalencies in their cover letter, resume, or application.

Hours of Work Short assignment, full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Beginning as soon as possible, with an expected end date of October 31, 2021 Dates are approximate and are subject to change Salary Information $35.2108
