YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regularly communicate and explain the mission and expectations to the members of your team in order to keep management informed of any critical issues and to achieve performance objectives for workplace health and safety, quality, productivity, employee development and cost management
- Act as a role model and a coach to foster teamwork, innovation, development and work team autonomy in a pleasant environment with healthy communication
- Build healthy work relations and collaboration with the human resources team and the employee relations committee while enforcing internal policies
- Supervise and support an engaged team committed to continuous improvement and eliminating waste, and connect with the correct stakeholders as necessary
- Mobilize your team to analyze and find the source of non-compliances and health and safety risks, and generate innovative, sustainable solutions
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- AEC or DEC (college diploma) in industrial management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in direct supervision
- Team player with excellent communication skills and ability to influence others
- Great analytical skills and ability to solve production issues
- Ability to delegate and to develop your team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ease in working with partners (human resources, employee relations committee, management)
- Solid organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and sense of initiative
- Ability to influence and rally others
- Proficiency in French, written and spoken
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and SAP software
- Availability for both day and night shifts
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing (an asset)
The position is located in Valcourt and is part of the Operations division.
