Working a stable Monday to Friday 8 AM
– 5 PM schedule, you’ll reap the benefits of structure while also being willing to work overtime for the success of yourself and the team (when it’s needed).

The successful candidate will be a reflexive self-starter with strong communication skills and a positive attitude ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Agents, the successful candidate will have primary duties that include the following: Conduct all procurement and purchasing activities on assigned projects, including transportation, storage, and review of product orders.

Estimate values according to knowledge of market price, determine method of procurement, (such as direct purchase or bid) Prepare purchase orders or bid requests and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

Maintain procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.

Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.

Support Project Managers, and Foremen on the formation, implementation, and administration of contracts for construction and professional services.

Ensure that all contract administration procedures are followed and executed in a professional manner.

Maintain records of business transactions and product inventories, reporting data to companies or government agencies as necessary.

Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule THE REQUIREMENTS A minimum of three (3) years of progressive buying experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or College Diploma from an accredited institution Purchasing experience in the electrical construction industry is an asset.

Monday to Friday availability with willingness for overtime when needed Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Must be able to manage budgets and avoid delay costs including shipping.

Professional oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
