Your role:
As a member of the PWS validation team, the generalist technician will be responsible for testing and analyzing various products designed for off-road vehicle movement. Your mission will be to communicate the results clearly to the product development teams, in collaboration with the validation team.
We need you for:
- Conducting tests on various types of recreational off-road vehicles (ATV, UTV, snowmobile, etc.)
- Performing daily inspections of vehicles and prototypes during testing
- Completing daily inspection forms during tests
- Providing daily follow-ups on your tests to the validation and/or development team
- Strictly following established testing procedures to ensure team coordination and site safety
- Taking care of non-mechanical maintenance and upkeep of vehicles (identifying anomalies, vehicle cleaning, fuel level, etc.)
- Collecting data on tested products, documenting them accurately, and participating in analysis once field tests are completed
- Performing internal product openings to analyze non-visible components (e.g., cutting rubber using a blade knife)
- Providing support to mechanics during vehicle maintenance and repair
- Offering manual assistance in prototype assembly and fabrication
- Participating in the implementation of best practices in product validation
What do you need to possess for being successful:
- Is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Has a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possesses a mechanical and analytical mind
- Holds a Class 5 driver’s license and is able to travel (valid passport not required for hire)
- Knows the Office suite and is eager to learn (training opportunities provided on-site)
- Is fluent in English and French (oral and written)
- Demonstrates autonomy, meticulousness, and attentiveness
- Ready to meet any weather challenge by working outdoors during physical and durability testing on vehicle
