QC In Line Inspector

This is a Contract position in Winnipeg, MB posted November 23, 2021.

Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance In-Line Production Inspector is responsible to check in-process quality during production. They are required to document variances on the in-line check sheet and notify the appropriate personnel for the suitable correctional procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Quality Assurance objectives by monitoring day-to-day activities
  • Daily inspection of all sewing, trimming, cutting, down filling, packing sections of production
  • Inspection and follow up on daily repairs from production floor
  • Knowledge of Leadtec to verify performance of sewing operator
  • May speak and communicate with operators on sewing issues
  • Inform other QA team members about issues
  • Help resolve repair issues
  • Daily follow up on implementation and maintenance of quality standards
  • Provide regular feedback to QA Supervisor regarding garment’s quality performance
  • Assist in Year End inventory counting of raw materials and finished goods (as needed)
  • Complete all other duties as required to support the mission of the QA department
  • Help QA Coordinator with 100% inspection of Salesmen Samples (as needed)
  • Help inspect 10% of shipments on a daily basis (as needed)
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and is available to work extra hours when needed during weekdays and Saturday’s

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma required
  • Experience in the garment industry an asset
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction
  • Understanding manufacturing process with the garment industry
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize, operate proactively, work as a team and handle challenges
  • Excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to evaluate options and generate solutions
  • Confident, articulate, goal oriented, self-motivated and hard working

Working Conditions:

  • Mostly standing
  • Office and Manufacturing environment
