Quality Liaison

This is a Contract position in Belleville, ON posted June 10, 2019.

Job Title: Quality Liaison Job Type: Temporary Contract (Anticipated 60 day contract) Rate of Pay: $55,000
– $75,000 Annually Position Overview: The primary function of the Quality Liaison is to, under the guidance of the Quality Manger, maintain and service client accounts.

The Quality Liaison will work as a key contact between client accounts to produce reports and to communicate quality issues.

Hours of Work: Primary hours will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.

Some flexible hours may be required for staff to work beyond regular hours and weekends as needed at the request of management.

Job Setting: This job operates in a professional office environment though work is required to be done on production floors within facilities.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Must be able to travel both locally and internationally.

Key Duties: Review/visit customer plants to insure the quality standards of all parts are being maintained Build relationship with the manufacturing teams at each customer facility Effectively balance a hands on presence with key customers to build intimate customer relationships Must acquire and stay current on all programs assigned to interface effectively with Sales team, program management, operations, quality and customers Submits quotation(s) to customer directly or indirectly for approval Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company’s production and delivery schedules Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts Build /manage a positive customer relationship Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and other associates within the company Compile weekly sales highlights at the end of every week and submit to management Conduct technical analysis and maintain working knowledge of competitive offerings Assist in meeting or exceeding sales goals with each and every customer Must have a good work ethic Be willing to travel to customer sites as necessary Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate both internally and externally Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Possess negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders Ability to respond to a variety of challenging circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills Maintains adherence to company policies, safety/ergonomic standards, and good housekeeping practices Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) Requirements: Completion of post-secondary education is preferred in a manufacturing or administrative program; equivalent work experience will be considered if post-secondary education is not completed A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Quality capacity from an administrative role Ability to prioritize based on urgency and to multitask Ability to work under minimal supervision Must have a valid Canadian Passport and have the ability schedule-wise to travel internationally as required A clean criminal background is required Full knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes is required Excellent MS Office Suite skills with emphasis on using Excel to input data, to manipulate data, and to compile reports Excellent communication skills in the English language is required both verbally and written Professional demeanour and the ability to confidently interact with clients Strong relationship building skills Please apply by responding to this job ad with an updated resume, by visiting our office at 56 Quinte Street, Trenton, ON or 470 Dundas Street East, Belleville, ON, or by reaching out to us at 613-965-5927.
