Remanufacturing Assembly Technician (Day & Swing Shift))


This is a Contract position in Durham, NC posted January 23, 2022.

* Gain experience in cutting-edge FDA regulated robotics manufacturing* $20-$22 per hour and a $3000 hiring bonus paid in increments* Full-Time, 1-year contract* Address: 1650 TW Alexander Dr, Durham, NC 27703* Day Shift (7 am to 3:30 pm) $20/hr or Afternoon Shift (4:00pm-12:30am) $22/hr *training on day shift for 4-8 weeksWe’re growing fast and our manufacturing operation in Durham has a fantastic entry-level program to train Remanufacturing Assembly Technicians to help us build robotics that is making new things possible in healthcare. Working with Intuitive:This is a full-time, 1-year contract position with daytime (7 am to 3:30 pm) or afternoon shift (4:00pm-12:30am). You’ll earn a competitive wage of $20.00-$22.00 an hour, and you’ll also be eligible for a $3000 hiring bonus that will be paid in increments; $1,000 first paycheck, $1,000 after 60 days, and $1000 after 90 days. While experience is nice to have in this role, any motivated and hardworking individual can succeed here provided they have some mechanical or technological aptitude. We are looking for people who enjoy working with their hands, are detail-oriented, and are able to follow schematics and mathematical plans. Most importantly, you should enjoy examining, investigating, and perfecting machines until they come out just right.Roles & Responsibilities:* Read and understand detailed assembly guides and assemble a variety of products* Operate and set up production equipment/fixtures* Repair/repurpose robotic components and attachments* Become proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety, and productivity* Perform preparation work such as line clearance and changeover* Perform inspection and repair on completed builds* Complete manufacturing documentation accurately* Initiate basic material requests, report issues in quality/efficiency, and material shortagesQualifications:* 2+ years experience in manufacturing or mechanical assembly/production* High school diploma or equivalent (college degree is preferred) * Degree/diploma in a relevant technical field is an asset* Proficiency with standard computer applications* Strong fundamentals in math and reading, and ability to follow detailed instructions* Familiarity with systems (Agile/SAP) used to check drawings/bills of materials is an asset Applying with Raise Recruiting:Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Intuitive through our direct sourcing partner, Raise Recruiting.
