Research Analyst

– Mood and Anxiety Disorders General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems Division The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital in Canada, as well as one of the world’s leading research centres in its field.

Reporting directly to the Clinician Scientist/Principal Investigator, CAMH is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst to provide support to a variety of clinical research activities in Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Cannabinoids and Endocannabinoid System including clinical trials and neuroimaging studies.

The ideal candidate will be capable of conducting daily tasks with minimal supervision.

This position will assist the research team in a number of research related duties including: recruitment and scheduling participant visits, consenting participants for research studies, study-related assessments, maintaining participant records and regulatory documents, database support and data management, aiding in submission of grants, regulatory reports and progress reports, and preparing data for presentations and peer-reviewed research papers.

The candidate may also be required to assist with other administrative duties as necessary.

This position is located at 100 Stokes Street and 250 College Street.

Qualifications The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, neuroscience or related degree combined with 1 year of relevant research or clinical experience.

Prior research or service experience with individuals and/or families with mental health and/or addictions is necessary.

Proficiency in PC software skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet Search engines (e.g., PsychInfo, Medline), survey software (e.g., RedCap), and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R), as well as the ability to learn new programs as necessary, is essential.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and organizational skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

The candidate will be detail-oriented, possess analytical thinking skills, and be able to exercise initiative and good judgment.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting program deadlines.

Previous experience and training in administration of psychological assessments and clinical rating scales (e.g., SCID, MINI) is an asset.

Ability to liaise across an interprofessional team is necessary Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and liaise with study investigators Candidate requires the ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.

Please Note: This full-time, contract (12 months) position is part of the OPSEU bargaining unit.

Salary Range: $24.60
– $32.81 per hour CAMH is a Tobacco-Free Organization.
