– SHR Department: CLINICAL TEAM Employment Type: Temporary Employment Term: Full Time Posting Date: May 31, 2021 Closing Date: May 31, 2022 17:00 Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days 112.00 hours per 3 week rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours Rate of Pay: $33.810 to $41.342 (5 step range) Union Name: HSAS Job Description Reporting to the Clinical Team Manager of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Sunrise Health Region, as well as the clinical lead for adult mental health, the incumbent will participate as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team.

The Social Worker BSW within the Mental Health and Addictions Services (MH&AS) team provides assessments and therapeutic interventions for children, youth, families, adults and seniors, with the primary objective to support and strengthen social functioning.

This is done through collaboration with the client and/or family, the Mental Health and Addiction Services Interdisciplinary Team and other service providers within Sunrise Health Region and communities.

Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Social Work Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) Experience Mental experience working with children, youth, families, adults and seniors in a cross cultural mental health and addiction setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic computer skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to accept and implement change Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients Ability to travel both within the region and provincially Time management skills Understanding of quality improvement theory and methodologies Public relations skills Ability to work under stress Knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act and other legislation relevant to the provision of Mental Health services (i.e.

Family Services Act) Knowledge of community resources in the addictions field Ability to demonstrate professional conduct and judgement and ethical behaviour Awareness of current Mental Health and Addictions issues Critical thinking skills Ability to work in a team setting in a positive manner Proficient assessment, counseling, and case management skills.

Demonstrated ability to provide clinical counseling for young children and families using a variety of treatment modalities; including but not limited to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behaviour Management, Play Therapy etc.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, decision making, documentation and organizational skills Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and ability to appropriately intervene/attain appropriate intervention in emergency situations Knowledge and willingness to integrate mental health programming across SHR, MH&AS and at a community level collaborating with community partners and agencies, (i.e Social Services, housing agencies etc) Knowledge of human development and family dynamics relating to family violence, trauma, loss and grief, addiction, poverty and mental health issues is essential Demonstrated ability to provide culturally competent, family-based and strength-based services using holistic approach attending to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of the child and family Knowledge of the privacy requirements in the Health Information Protection Act Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Other Information Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
