Tool Rental Team Member

This is a Contract position in Victoria, BC posted November 22, 2021.

JOB OVERVIEW: The Commercial Sales/Tool Rentals customer service member ensures a superior level of service is provided to all our customers.

Develops professional relationships with customers to foster customer loyalty and grow assigned account sales.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensures the commercial/contractor desk and Tool Rental areas are providing the best service possible to our customers, especially those in the construction, professional and commercial markets.

• Develop strategies, tactics and business plans in order to increase our market share.

• Develop communication and follow-up methods for the commercial/contractor desk to receive accurate program and activity information, as well as an efficient execution in store.

• Promote best practice research and implementation between stores.

• Define service standards and implement measure and control tools (sales, margins, costs…)
• Improve procedures and systems to help the commercial staff to better serve customers.

• Oversee deliveries and ensure delivery drivers are operating under all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Position requires individual to keep current on building construction trends, products and application techniques to maintain credibility with customer.

Basic and current knowledge of the building code is also required.

• Position requires the ability to be able to read and interpret a blueprint.

The ability to prepare material estimates is a value-added requirement.

• Knowledge of the construction market an important asset.

• Position requires effective selling skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

• Position requires good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to assess customer requirements and make recommendations.
