Job DescriptionSummaryQuality Engineer responsibilities include the development and maintenance of AS9100/ISO9001 QMS system.

Other responsibilities will include the coordination of QC teams, resolution of product issues, and customer support.Job ResponsibilitiesMaintaining and improving the ISO9001 and AS/EN9100 policies and procedures including internal auditsPlanning, Conducting, Tracking and Reporting all QMS audit activitiesBe the face of our company during customer or third party registration auditsLiaison with Customers during visits, builds, NPI activities, process/system auditsEnsure great customer relations are developed and maintainedProvide written technical responses to customers on quality issues as well as performing ongoing reporting to customersClearly and consistently communicate customer Quality expectations to the OrganizationLead/ coordinate cross-functional NPI teams on product launches, apply lessons learned to continuously improve the NPI processAssisting or Leading cross-functional team to investigate quality issues and recommend technical solutions – be the Quality champion for CI activitiesQuality background to include CAPA problem solving and root cause analysisStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to conduct and/or participate in internal training programs and attend external training as requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated diplomacy and professionalismExceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniquesConviction to improve personally and support continuous improvement in the department and company as a wholeHigh level of personal integrityProfessional/mature demeanor under stressful situationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment effective time management skillsMust be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed while having the ability to work seamlessly within a cross functional team environmentClose working knowledge of GD& T requirementsIntermediate level computer skills using MS Office Suite of programsHave training and knowledge of MOL safety requirements including WHIMSMay perform other duties as assigned by managementWork ConditionsSome travel may be requiredAbility to attend and conduct presentationsManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripheralsOvertime as requiredRequirementsMinimum of three years in Community College with Technology diploma or an Engineering degree preferred.5-10 years as a QE or related role in Quality Assurance within a machine shop environmentISO9001 – 2015 Lead Auditor Certification/accreditationISO13485:2016 would be considered an assetCompany DescriptionFounded in 1974, Trimaster is a one source, one responsibility supplier for customers who demand tight tolerances on complex, medium-volume components.
