The Role: Virtual Services Pharmacist Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Services, the Virtual Services Pharmacist, Pharmacy Services is responsible for delivering exception professional services to patients.

The pharmacist must have a dedicated focus on providing exceptional patient care that is in compliance with the standards of practice of pharmacy colleges in relevant province.

The pharmacist must continue to provide the highest level of patient care consistently, efficiently, and effectively.

Principal Responsibilities: Perform patient focused services as deemed eligible and appropriate for patients Provide professional advice and applicable dialogue with patients on prescription and OTC products to provide excellent customer service and maximize customer loyalty.

Promote and monitor improved patient health outcomes Improve and optimize drug therapy Accurate and timely claim submission and/or registration of all patient focused services performed.

Effectively communicate with patient virtually via telephone or video conferencing Ensure thorough documentation to physician and pharmacy team to ensure continuity of care.

Follow up on all patient interventions and identified drug related problems to ensure and document improved patient health outcomes.

Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations Maintain complete and accurate documentation as required by the various Colleges of Pharmacy, drugs plans (both public & private) as well as all Rexall programs and SOP’s Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.

Required Skills Bachelors, Masters, or Doctor in Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist in Alberta Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) Commitment to obtain further certifications Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Strong customer/patient satisfaction orientation Ability to achieve results with a strong sense of urgency and a “can-do” attitude Ability to maintain the optimum balance between the profession of pharmacy and business of pharmacy Strong problem solving and analytical skills Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Pharmacy Dispensing Software (Nexxsys and asset), Patient Centre Commitment to teamwork with a contagious enthusiasm and passion for Retail Pharmacy The Rexall DNA: Ready to make an impact
